(NASDAQ: VMAC) (“VMAC”), a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company, announced today that the registration statement on Form F-4 filed by Anghami with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) was declared effective by the SEC on December 16, 2023. The registration statement was filed in connection with the previously announced Business Combination between VMAC and Anghami.
The Company has scheduled a Special Meeting of Stockholders for January 19, 2023 to approve the Business Combination. The closing of the Business Combination is subject to completion of previously disclosed closing conditions and approvals contained in the merger agreement and is expected to close promptly after the Special Meeting. Upon the closing of the Business Combination, the Company will operate under the Anghami name and is expected to be listed on NASDAQ trading under the new symbol “ANGH”.
