Concerns over Hunter Biden’s laptop and emails resurfaces

Trump’s impeachment proceedings focused on his dealings with Ukraine, particularly his attempts to push the president to announce investigations that would benefit him, including one against Burisma and the Bidens. Some of his supporters, including Giuliani, have promoted allegations of corruption in Biden’s work in the country during his father’s time as a vice president in an effort to counter the claims that Trump Trump abused his power. The “Biden – Ukraine conspiracy theory” alleges that elder Biden withheld loan guarantees, pressured the Ukrainian government to fire a prosecutor and obstructed a corruption investigation into Ukrainian gas company Burisma to protect his son Hunter Biden.

An article published in the New York Post in 2020 fueled speculation that Hunter Biden may have used his privileges as a former vice president to create a conflict of interest for himself as president, even though the 2020 campaign denied that he had met with one of his sons and a Ukrainian employee of the energy exploration and consulting firm Burisma. The article, based on evidence from Hunter’s laptop, claimed Biden met with Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to Burisma, and met with his son in Washington. He is also said to have thanked Hunter for inviting him to meet him in Washington.

The president and his camp have offered vague assurances that he was never wrong. In a statement to Politico, the Biden campaign acknowledged that the former vice president had “informal interactions” with Burisma advisers that do not appear on his official schedule, but said such meetings were fleeting.

The Daily Mail, a newspaper that has published numerous reports on the contents of laptops belonging to Hunter Biden, son of president Joe Biden, claimed to have uncovered recordings of the former vice president telling a Las Vegas prostitute that a Russian drug dealer had stolen his laptop. The Daily Mail also claimed material on the laptop showed that the Bidens had decided not to publish parts of their lives in the book. Liberal and mainstream media have expressed doubts over the validity of the emails, saying that the laptop does not prove that the emails from Biden came from a Russian disinformation campaign intended to influence the election against President Donald Trump.

That was not the end of it, because the media tried to put together a story last year. The Daily Mail published images purporting to show Biden with prostitutes and showing evidence of drug use.

The latest evidence, of course, is photographic evidence that his father President Joe Biden attended a dinner on April 16th, 2015 with shady Ukrainian, Russian and Kazakh businessmen and posed for pictures with them. The media’s efforts to pretend that this damning information, which showed that Joe Biden played a significant and well-known role in his sons “creeping influence and Russian disinformation, stopped when the Post was ignored by the media they had in front of the Trump family.

In October 2020, the last week of the presidential campaign, the New York Post released an article about the involvement of Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Giuliani and former chief strategist Steve Bannon in the search for Hunter Biden’s laptop. Since then, a series of stories have surfaced about how the younger Biden left the laptop in a repair shop in Delaware. The younger Biden claims he can’t remember dropping the laptop.

The New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story which silenced major technology companies for weeks before the 2020 presidential election sparked a media firestorm last October when it highlighted Biden’s laptop dealings in China and Ukraine abroad and revealed how he traded with his powerful name. A year after the Post story, Politico reported Tuesday that it had partially confirmed the authenticity of the material. A New York Post and Daily Mail report published potentially damaging emails to Democratic candidate Joe Biden in which a nested laptop was allegedly left at a computer store in Delaware and handed over to an ally of Donald Trump.

An NBC News reporter asked for an interview and a copy of documents from a former aide to Hunter Biden named Tony Bobulinski who appeared on the laptop after the story broke, but he declined. He told Fox News – Tucker Carlson that he met Joe Biden’s father twice to discuss business in China, the first time in May 2017, when Barack Obama – the former vice president – was a private citizen. An email from the laptop left behind by Hunter Biden at a computer workshop in Delaware suggested that he was introduced to his father by Joe Biden, manager of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma while Hunter Biden sat on the company’s board of directors.

The Wall Street Journal, a Trump affiliate, seen as an ideal outlet because of its combination of conservatism and credibility in the industry, conducted due diligence and published a version of the story with unclear provenance that claimed but failed to prove Hunter Biden’s involvement in his sons'”affair. Donald Trump and his allies have accused Joe Biden of misconduct after he urged the vice president to fire the country’s top prosecutor investigating the company Hunter Biden worked for. Trump was impeached for trying to pressure the president of Ukraine to find damaging information about the Biden family.

During the 2020 campaign Hunter Biden – the second son of US President Joe Biden – and his father Donald Trump – have accused Trump and his aides of misconduct about China and Ukraine – allegations that he and his father denied. Hunters’ tax affairs are also being investigated by the Ministry of Justice. Republicans contend that Hunter Biden benefited from his surname while his father was vice president.

In the run-up to the 2020 election which was won by Hunter Biden, a series of damaging stories emerged about the president’s son leaving another laptop in a Delaware repair shop – a move that could potentially damage his chances of winning the presidency. The Daily Mail reported that a video shows the president’s son telling a woman that the Russians stole one of his laptops as a blackmail in January 2019 and filmed it with the same laptop in Delaware. Newsweek reported that the younger Biden lost three computers containing sensitive information, including one in Las Vegas and one in Delaware, that were seized by federal agents, if the video published by the Daily Mail this week is correct.
